Now there is no reason for you not to go on a low carb diet; yes, not even your love for pizza.</p>
<p> Just a few minutes &#8211; give or take 10 to 15 minutes &#8211; from preparation and baking and soon you&#8217;ll be enjoying the best-tasting and healthy pizza you&#8217;ve ever had in a while.  You may consume it as a filling dinner fare or just a quick snack (like other <a target='_blank' href="http://lowcarbsnacks.tumblr.com">low carb snacks</a>) in the middle of the day when the hunger pangs hit you. It&#8217;s also easy to take it on the go just like a slice of your usual pizza.   The best part: all the ingredients you&#8217;ll be using are guaranteed to be fresh, healthy, and won&#8217;t cost you a lot. </p>
<p> Making low carb pizza involves two components: the base, or what we refer to as the crust, and the sauce.   It&#8217;s just like when you make your other types of pizzas. You can make the base and the sauce separately in advance and just put it together when you&#8217;re hungry.  The crust is best stored frozen and the sauce refrigerated. </p>
<p> The crust is made of two main ingredients: flax seed is ground into flax meal to serve as the flour, while Parmesan cheese adds flavor to the crust and serves as the binder.  You can make crusts in large batches and store them in ziplock bags in the freezer, ready to be taken out when you need them.   The crust can be eaten as flat bread when you&#8217;re not feeling up to preparing any of the toppings or the sauce. You can dip it in some olive oil and vinegar for a quick snack. </p>
<p>If you go ahead and make the pizza, then definitely make this sauce.   Simple though it may be, the flavors are anything but.  Even your regular or normal pizzas would taste divine with it!  This great homemade pizza sauce is Italian in origin and can be prepared in advance, to be stored until it is needed.   The sauce ingredients include a variety of herbs, tomato paste, and olive oil.   One small can of tomato paste, and you can easily add sauce to about 10 pizzas! </p>
<p> Finally, of course, there are the toppings.  Most pizza toppings are low carb friendly already so you can put your slices of mozzarella followed by your usually favorite toppings.   It won&#8217;t take so much out of you to just put in some slices of mozzarella and then some pepperoni on top. If you like sausage then put some small chunks of sausage on it.   If you want things to be a bit more upscale, a bit of arugula and prosciutto would work wonderfully. The choices are endless! </p>
<p> Finally, when cooking, just pop the pizza into the oven and let it cook for 10 minutes; then you have the best pizza ever!  You have to make sure the cheese has melted.  It&#8217;s so easy it barely feels like cooking!</p>
